We want to ensure that Knowle Wood is enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
Plans for the future include interpretation, explaining the importance of areas for different species of mammals, flora and fauna. Boardwalks to give greater access and protect the woodland floor at entrances, plus bird and bat boxes are currently being investigated.
We also propose to look at some fun interpretation and activities for engagement with younger visitors to the wood, such as a guided nature walks and bug identification hunts.
These are the plans, activity and engagement the Parish Council want to encourage in Knowle Wood, whilst safeguarding this precious area we have in Fairlight for future generations to enjoy.
